E. Committee Reports:
a. Pool: The annual gun/cash raffle is in
progress. The pool is filled with water for the winter
(to equalize pressure that prevents the pool walls
from being pushed in by expanding frozen ground).
b. Baseball/Softball (GYSA):
1. Although approved at the last meeting to permit
the GYSA to put in one large concession/storage
shed, it might be wiser to have one larger building
that both football and baseball could use. TBD.
2. Also approved on 11/6/24: Placing a rope or
cable across the lane through the wooded area
now that the summer and fall sports seasons are
over. This has not been done yet.
c.
Football (GNMFA): No report
d. Soccer: No new report, according to Ross.
e. Annual contracts: where distributed to soccer
and will be to football and baseball/softball. These
must be signed and returned to MRC, ASAP
F. Fund Raising: Lighted Christmas Trail: Because
of very cold temperatures, fewer visitors and less
donations this year.
Several displays suffered wind damage.
G. Building and Grounds report:
a. Lighted trail tear-down: Will begin on
Saturday 1/11. Priority will be to remove
decorations along the trail before any possible
flooding.
b. The tractor needs repairs again. Dave
Bratton will take it up to Land Pro.
c. Telephone poles will be placed horizontally
across the parking area when the tractor is
repaired.
d. New dog/pet policy at Park: Pets must be
kept on a leash at all times in the Park. Signs are
being posted. If people do not clean up after their
pets, the next step will be to ban all pets from the
Park.
e. Drinking water system in Park building: The
UV light system failed during the Grange’s New
Year’s Day (1/1/25) pork and sauerkraut dinners. A
temporary by-pass was used. Repairs will be made
a.s.a.p.

trying to find a lift-truck for making the repairs &

event has concluded and the big flag needs
replaced.

A new volunteer reservations coordinator is
needed. This person does not need to be on the
MRC Board. For information to call Teresa. Posted
